In Design session #1/2

As i have never used In Design before I began by learning myself the basics of the tool bar.

With this post I will show how i conbined text with images. This is the main idea i want to use for my book pages, and so i wanted to try my best to understand how to do this.

First i opened a new document to the size the book will be:

Here i then began to put my lines in where i wanted to image to overlap to the next page:

I then placed a fill box where the image would be:

Here i then put my type into a text box, and then chose the text style i wanted:

Create outlines was the next step, so i just clicked the selection tool, and then chose the option create outlines:

Object >contents > graphic
file > place - i chose my image i wanted:

The i just moved the image around in the text to get the main colour i wanted, which here is Red:

Here are a few more i experimented with:

This will be the main technique i will use for my main image pages because i feel it is the best way to get the most of the colour that will stand out to the reader.
